Jacob gets 'Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award'

Kochi, Aug 21 (UNI) POABS Group Chairman P A Jacob has been selected for the ''Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award'' instituted by the National Integration and Economic Council, New Delhi.

The award will be presented away by Haryana Governor A R Kidwai at a function to be held at New Delhi on August 24, according to an official release here today.

Mr Jacob was selected for the award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture and industry.

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) Hundreds of people belonging to nomadic tribes, led by MP Haribhau Rathod, today organised a rally at Azad Maidan here to press for their demand of accepting recommendations, made by Balkrishan Renke Commission to the central government. Mizoram consents to CBI probe on pastor death

Aizawl, Aug 21 (UNI) The Mizoram government today issued a notification according consent to the CBI to probe the death of renowned pastor the Reverend Chanchinmawia.
