IP arrests passenger on various charges in airport

Chennai, Aug 21 (UNI) Interpol Police(IP) arrested a passenger hailing from Hungary, at International Airport here in connection with various offences committed in the last seven years.

Police said the accused Williams Peter was nabbed when he landed by a Lufthansa flight, which arrived here at 2350 hrs.

The matter was informed to the External Affairs Ministry, which in turn, advised the IP in New Delhi to keep in touch with their counterparts in Chennai.

IP Delhi, however, entrusted the responsibility to the CBI. The CBI authorities here, following an instruction from their head office, took Mr Peter into custody for further interrogation.

Karvan-e-Aman bus to Muzaffarabad resume journey

Srinagar, Aug 21 (UNI) The Karvan-e-Aman Bus Service between Srinagar-Muzaffarbad, capital of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), today resumed its journey with 64 passengers on board. The service was suspended on August 14 in view of the unrest in the state due to Amarnath land row and ''Muzaffarabad chalo'' agitation. The number of those coming from the PoK was yet to be known. Official sources said about four buses from Muzaffarabad-bound passengers left here from an undisclosed place.....

Daylong curfew relaxation in Jammu

Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) A day after fresh violence erupted in the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the administration today announced a daylong curfew relaxation, official sources here said. ''The curfew will be relaxed in Jammu district for a day from 0500 hrs to 2000 hrs,'' the sources told UNI and added that it would be extended till 2200 hrs, if situation remains normal. Day curfew has been lifted in Udhampur and Samba districts, they said......
