Infotech launches operations in Japan

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) Infotech Enterprises Limited, a global technology solutions provider with global headquarters in the city, today announced the launch of its Japan operations.

Infotech was leading its Japanese foray with engineering and market research services.

In a statement here, Company Chairman and Managing Director B V R Mohan Reddy said ''over the last six months, Infotech has done extensive market research and engaged with opinion leaders in the engineering design community in Japan. The opportunity is very exciting and the enthusiasm of the industry leaders at the possible entry of Infotech with its proven processes and track record to address the market needs was very encouraging.'' Mr Kazuya Fujinaga (Sales), formerly with IBM Japan, and Mr Masamichi Migita (Programme Management), formerly with Dassault Systems Japan, were appointed for the company's Japan operations.

Japan, ADB support plans to improve Bihar

Singapore, Aug 21 (UNI) A project to improve the living conditions and environment in key urban centers in Bihar has been given a boost by Japan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Excise sleuths seize illicit liquor worth Rs four lakh

Betiah, Aug 21 (UNI) Bihar Excise department sleuths today raided a country-made liquor factory here and seized huge quantiity of illicit liquor. Director of Excise Maheswar Dutt told UNI that acting on a tip-off the departmental sleuths, led by Excise Inspector Ravinder Kumar Singh, and assisted by the Jagdishpur police, raided the liquor factory at Jhakharia village, about 20 km from here.
