Husband commits suicide after killing wife

Sasaram, Aug 21 (UNI) In a tragic incident, a husband shot dead his wife and then allegedly committed suicide by firing on himself here today.

Additional Superintendent of Police of Rohtas district P Kannan said one Ayodha Sau, a resident of Koachas village of the district, shot dead his wife and later allegedly committed suicide by firing on himself.

On hearing the gun shots, the neighbours rushed to the house of Sau and found the couple lying dead in a splash of blood.

The police later sent the bodies to a local hospital for autopsy.

HC suggests Ambani brothers to approach mother

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today suggested the rival Ambani brothers--Anil and Mukesh, to approach their mother Kokilaben to resolve the dispute over the agreement for supply of gas from the Krishna-Godavari basin. The division bench of Justice J N Patel and Justice K K Tatde made this suggestion during the hearing of the petition regarding Anil-led Reliance Natural Resources Limited (RNRL) persuant to a gas-sharing deal between RNRL and Mukesh-led Reliance Industries.....

HC directs St Stephens to select principal within eight weeks

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Delhi High court today directed St Stephens college to select a principal for the college within eight weeks. A bench comprising Chief Justice A P Shah and Justice S Murlidhar directed the college that since it is without a principal from January 2007, they should immediately start the selection process as per the rules of Minority institutions and appoint one within eight weeks.
