When dance by differently abled kids enthralled audience in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug.21 : Differently-abled children of Sallauddin Pasha's troupe 'Ability Unlimited' won everyone's heart on Wednesday in the national capital after they gave a wonderful dance performance here.

Ability Unlimited is the first dance theatre of the country where the talents of disabled children are exhibited and they are being imparted with the professional training like dancing, singing and many other creative works.

Organised by the Lok Shakti and Blue Club Entertainment, the programme "Freedom Moment" was participated by children who were either riding the wheel chairs or using other aids.

"It was completely a different type of performance that physically disabled children have presented. It's unbelievable that they had been able to perform in such a wonderful way. It was a beautiful performance," said Pratyush Toor, who was in the audiences.

"It was a wonderful performance. All the artistes...they are so incredible that you can't say anything...we don't have words to say about them but they really bring so much of emotions out of us that we really should take care of the freedom we have received just in heritage," said Kalpana Sharma, another member of the audience.

Sallauddin Pasha, who is fondly addressed as Guruji by children, turned their dream into reality. He has always taught the kids to live without fear. He maintains that it's time society realised such children's potential.

"I feel that these (disabled children) seek more freedom. As out country has not been disabled-friendly so they should be provided that type of freedom. They have not been given opportunities and freedom in education and employment, for that they want freedom. They are enthusiastic to do something in life. They have given such a wonderful performance to prove they also have a right to live in the society. They seek their dignity and equality in the society. They are keen to take part in the Independence Day celebrations," said Guruji Sallauddin Pasha, founder, Ability Unlimited.

Though government has so many provisions for different abled, they remain on paper and seldom benefit the actually needy. These differently-abled people usually don't get enough opportunities to demonstrate their latent talent because they don't find arrangements in India disabled friendly.

"Now they are coming forward. They have given wonderful performance today. They have conveyed a message that they are no way less than anybody. They don't need anyone's mercy but seek an opportunity to prove themselves," said Guruji Sallauddin Pasha. By Shraddha
