Bukhari says Ahmedabad blast handiwork of Hindu organisations

Azamgarh, Aug 21 (UNI) Alleging that not SIMI but Hindu organisations were behind the simultaneous Ahmedabad blast, the Delhi Jama Mazid shahi Imam Ahmad Bukhari demanded the government to release the blast's prime accused Abul Bashar and warned of a nationwide agitation if the needful not done.

Imam Bukhari was here to meet the family of Abul Bashar at Binapara village in Saraimir area.

Later, talking to mediapersons, he said Bashar is ''innocent'' and they will be compelled to stage an andolan bigger than that of 1947, if Bashar not released.

Demanding judicial probe into the matter, he said the US email received a minute before the Ahmedabad blast should be investigated thoroughly.

Charging the Central and the State government with being ''biased'', he said '' in the name of terrorism Muslims are being harassed not only in Uttar Pradesh, but in entire country.'' He further said SIMI is not a terrorist organisation and main culprits are the Hindu organisations like RSS, VHP and Shiv Sena.

He said Muslims would no more keep mum and take to street over the arrest of Dr Tariq Kasmi and Abul Bashar.

Increase in movement of trucks on National Highway in J-K: MHA

New Delhi, August 21 : The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday said that the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir is being closely monitored and there is an increase in the movement of trucks on the National Highways. According to their report, today until 2 p.m., 970 trucks moved with essential commodities from Jammu to Kashmir out of which 343 were of food-grains, 128 of meat and 188 of fuel and petrol products. Similarly, 1033 trucks moved.....

Floods pose threat to zoo inmates in Bihar

Patna, August 21 : Heavy rains in Patna have caused flooding at a local zoo posing a serious threat to the animals residing there with fears of their drowning if water level rises further. Rhinoceros in the zoo are into trouble due the continuously rising level of water in their enclosures.
