Ashok Leyland launches service infrastructure

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) Commercial vehicles maker Ashok Leyland today launched a new state-of-the-art service infrastructure of automotive manufacturers at Kompally village in Cyberabad.

The company Executive Director (Marketing) Rajive Saharia said the new infrastructure at Kompally has been opened up keeping in view the requirements of the customers.

Spanning over an area of five acres, the facility will initially have a built-up area of 31,000 sq ft with 30 bays and also a provision for future expansion.

Automotive provides a 24-hour helpline service, Annual Maintenance Contracts which are customised to meet the needs of customers, engine quality care, express service and also a hassle-free cashless settlement of insurance claims.

At present, the Automotive has nine branches with 3-S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility and 270 bays for service across Andhra Pradesh.

SBI donates for charitable hospital in rural Bengal

Kolkata, Aug 21 (UNI) SBI's chief general manager (Bengal circle) Jayanta Kumar Sinha today inaugurated an operation theatre at Suvendu Memorial Seva Pratishan, a full fledged eye hospital, a non-profit organisation, at Gobrapota in Nadia district. Shramjivi blast case: doctor summoned for testimony on Aug 27

Jaunpur, Aug 21 (UNI) A terrorist accused in Patna-New Delhi Shramjivi Express bomb blast case was today produced in a local court where the testimony of a doctor was recorded and another witness summoned on August 27. The July 28, 2005-blast near Halpalganj-Singramau railway station in the district had killed at least 14 people and grievously wounded 90 others. Alamgeer alias Mohd Roni, presently lodged in Tihar Jail, appeared before Additional District and Sessions Judge (III).....

No shortage of medicines in Kashmir: JKPA

Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) Refuting the statements about shortage of medicines in the Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir Pharma Associates (JKPA) today said there was no scarcity of medicines in Kashmir. ''We are in constant touch with all the district presidents of pharma associations in Kashmir and the drug control department had also assured that there was no dearth of any medicine in the Valley,'' Rakesh Gupta, JKPA general secretary, said in a statement issued here......
