93 Kashmiri pandit migrants selected in IRP

Srinagar, Aug 21 (UNI) The Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Recruitment Board has selected 93 Kashmiri migrants as constables in the Indian Reserve Police (IRP), an official spokesman said today.

He said the candidates belonging to Kashmir Valley had been selected as constables in the IRP 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Battalions.

Meanwhile, according to District Development Commissioner, Bandipora, the interview of candidates for the posts of District Programme Manager, District Accounts Manager and District Data Assistant on contractual basis would be held in his office on August 25.

Bhopal, Aug 21: The Madhya Pradesh government has announced ten per cent increase in the bus fare on the demand of private bus operators. Claiming that the bus fare was increased for the first time in the last four years, Transport Minister Himmat Kothari today said the bus operators went on indefinite strike in June this year demanding a hike of 50 per cent in bus fares. Bhopal, Aug 21 (UNI) The Madya Pradesh government has appointed Dr Pramod K Verma as Director General of Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Council. He replaced Dr Mahesh Sharma, who had resigned, official sources said, adding at present Dr Verma was Professor of Applied Geology in the Ujjain's Vikram University.
