4 policemen, including DSP hurt in mishap

Ariyalur, Aug 21 (UNI) Four police personnel, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), were seriously injured when a car in which they were travelling dashed against a road side tree at Vilangudi village near here last night.

Police said a police team, including Mr Chinnaiah, DSP, was on their way to Jayankondam from here when the mishap occurred.

All the injured were admitted to a private hospital at Thanjavur.

The condition of Mr Chinnaiah was critical, police added.

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) The Maharashtra Cabinet today approved a new forest policy and formation of state forest advisory board. The new forest policy emphasises on formation of green fund for maintenance of the environment and forest science centre for the benefit of farmers. Deputy Secretary Lok Sabha Secretariat passes away

New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Deputy Secretary of the Lok Sabha Secretariat Kshetrabasi Jena passed away at Ganga Ram Hospital here.
