Three foreigners bound for Paris with fake papers arrested in BIA

Bangalore, Aug 20 (UNI) Three foreign nationals, one from Uzbekistan and two from Afghanistan, were arrested at Bengaluru International airport when they tried to leave for Paris using fake documents during the early hours today.

Police said the trio, including the Uzbek woman, were bound for Paris by Air France flight No 191. On suspicion, immigration official D N Sidde Gowda questioned them and on verification of their papers like passports and visa, it was found that they were fake.

All of them had visas issued in Latvia and they had given false names. After intense questioning, they revealed their correct identity. Feruza Salieva(33), a belly dancer by profession, belonged to Uzbekistan. Matiullah(20) and Fakim(21) belonged to Afghanistan.

Feruza came to India on December 26, 2006 on a three months visa and got it extended in Mathura. Later, she went to Nepal and stayed for six months. Coming back to India she stayed in East Kailash and performed in some hotels.

Meanwhile, she came in contact with an Afghan identified as Mohammed Ali. He told her that if she takes his two men who are seeking political asylum in Paris, he would give her 3000 dollars and provide all necessary duplicate papers.

As she was starving for money, she agreed. She was brought to Bangalore and introduced to Matiullah and Fakim.

After obtaining boarding pass at the Air France counter they were waiting for immigration clearance when they were caught.

The arrested were handed over to Bengaluru International Airport Police Station.
