Cash-for-vote: CNN-IBN to submit evidence on Aug 11

Panaji, Aug 8: Rajdeep Sardesai, chief executive officer, CNN-IBN TV-channel that conducted a sting in the infamous 'cash-for-vote' episode in Parliament on the trust vote day, said his organisation would depose evidence on Monday, Aug 11 before the parliamentary committee inquiring into the incident.

Addressing a 'meet the press' programme organised by the Goa Union of Journalists here, Mr Sardesai deplored lack of support to his initiative from the ''very media fraternity which started attributing motives for the sting operations.'' He, however, asserted that he had every right to withhold or broadcast the episode at his own choice and will. He said it would be broadcasted a few days after deposing the evidence.
