TDP Protestors lock up MRO office at Nandigrama

Vijayawada, Jul 28: Tension prevailed at the Nandigrama Mandal Revenue Office on Monday, July 28, when TDP leaders led by Mr Divineni Umamaheswara Rao, CPI, CPI (M) cadre and about 2,000 farmers locked the office demanding minimum support price (MSP) for subabul crop.

Party sources said leaders sat in front of thend raised s office alogans against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who reportedly promised an MSP of Rs 1,600 rpt 1,600 per tonne for the crop. police were deployed in huge numbers to thwart any untoward incident.
