Woman candidate killed in road mishap in UP

Behraich, Jun 26: A woman candidate of district panchayat member by-election was killed in a road accident here.

The mishap was reported from Motipur area, where the ill-fated vehicle carrying Renu for bypoll campaign turned turtle and fell into a gorge yesterday.

The woman died on the spot, while six passengers, who sustained severe injuries, have been admitted to hospital.

The bypoll was initiated after district panchayat member Waris Ali became an MLA from Nanpara constituency area.
