In a meeting of all Heads of Wings of the Nigam taken by the Chairman, Lt Gen (Retd) O S Lohchab and Managing Director Vijayendra Kumar here today, it was decided to increase the amount of award, given to an informer from present 20 percent to 40 percent and there would be no maximum limit of the amount. Earlier, there was a maximum limit of Rs 50,000.
Mr Lohchab said that the employees who detect theft under the scheme or with their own efforts would also get award equal to 18 percent of the recovered amount of the penalty imposed on detecting a theft of power.
He said that if theft is detected on information by any person a minimum amount of Rs 1000 per case would be given immediately to the informer on providing correct information. If DHBVN is able to recover the assessed theft amount, 40 per cent of the amount realised would be given to the informer on providing correct secret code given by him while giving information and the secret code number given by the DHBVN while noting his information. The informer need not to disclose his identity at any stage.
Eighteen per cent of the recovered amount would by divided among the officials comprising the raiding team and making efforts in recovering the penalty amount. The Concerned General Manager, Dy.
General Manager and Asstt General Manager would also be given a part of the awarded money.
