UNPA, Left leaders court arrest

New Delhi, Apr 19, 2008 : Indian Left leaders up the ante on the price rise issue and were court arrest, raising their voice against their ruling allies and joining the opposition United National Progressive Alliance or UNPA party members.

Indian Left allies on April 19 took to the streets along with the UNPA party members to launch a strong protest against the ruling government. And when the protesters turned violent, police took them away by force in a bus.

New Delhi, July 20: United Nationalist Progressive Alliance (UNPA) candidate Rashid Masood today filed his nomination papers for the 13th Vice Presidential election. The nomination of Mr Masood, who belongs to the SP, was proposed and seconded by 40 MPs of the seven-party conglomerate.
