Reference rate at Rs 40.04 per USD

Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 40.04, up by nine paise from yesterday's rate at Rs 39.95 per USD.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 79.1190 (79.4685) per Pound and Rs 38.61 (38.80) per 100 unit respectively, a data received from an Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
