Oliver Khan to play his farewell match in India

New Delhi, Apr 24: Indian soccer fans will enjoy a grand match between Mohan Bagan Athletic Club, the oldest club in Asia and F C Bayern Munich, the Germany-based club, at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on May 27.

The Kolkata based Real Estate major, Bengal Peerless Housing Development Company Limited today got the mandate from Indian Football Association (IFA) to organise this match. The fans will also enjoy a treat of watching Bayern Munich's Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn in action, who will be playing his farewell match on the same day making it one of the greatest matches in the history of International Football.

Speaking at the event Indian Football Association (IFA), Secretary, Utpal Ganguli said, ''We consider it to be an honour for Indian Football Association to be a part of the Farewell football match of Oliver Kahn to be held in Kolkata. We really look forward to make this match one of the Greatest ever played in the entire Football history.'' Bengal Peerless Housing Development Company Limited, Managing Director, Kumar Shankar Bagchi said, ''We are privileged to partner with the IFA to bring in the FC Bayern Munich team for the first time in India to play with Mohun Bagan, one of the oldest clubs in India.'' The match will be staged at the Salt Lake stadium, the second-biggest arena in the world, in front of a crowd likely to be at or near the 1,20,000 capacity.

Sanjay Kacker, COO, Percept D'Mark, North and East, stated, ''Being associated with one the major real estate companies in Kolkata is definitely another milestone that we have been able to achieve in terms of marketing as well as client relationship management.''
