Chennai, Apr 24 (UNI) A man bludgeoned his wife to death by hitting her with a grinder stone at Adyar area in the city today.
Police said Nanda, an auto driver, was a habitual drinker and used to pick up frequent quarrel with his wife, Datchayini.
When she demanded money to take care of day-to-day expenses, Nanda, in a fit of rage, took the grinder stone and hit her.
She died on the spot.
Nanda was arrested on charges of murder and remanded in judicial custody.
