Infosys to set up new devp centre in Kolkata

New Delhi, Apr 24: Country's leading software exporter Infosys Technologies Ltd today said it will invest Rs 500 crore to set up a new development centre at Kolkata. The centre will create more than 5,000 jobs over a period of time, a company statement said. ''We are very excited to announce our intention to set up a presence in Kolkata. We are impressed with the efforts of the state government in attracting such investments. With its bright talent pool, West Bengal is poised to become an important IT destination,'' said, CEO (Infosys Technologies) S Gopalakrishnan.
