Governor makes aerial survey of proposed Trans-Arunachal Highway

Itanagar, Apr 24 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor General(Retd) J J Singh made an aerial survey of the proposed Trans-Arunachal Highway project that would pass through four districts of the state.

The proposed highway would pass through Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, West Siang and East Siang districts, official sources here today said.

The Governor, accompanied with wife Anupama Singh, landed at Pasighat yesterday and discussed with the Deputy Commissioner of East Siang district and other government officials. The infrastructural development of the existing Pasighat airport, besides, horticultural prospects of the district.

Mr Singh also touched upon the tourism potential in the Siang Valley, sources added.

Paris, Dec 6 (ANI): The European Space Agency's (ESA's) Cluster satellites have studied the mysterious magnetic substorms on Earth and compared it with similar phenomenon on the giant planet Jupiter for a better understanding.Magnetic substorms on Earth disrupt orbiting satellites, including telecommunication satellites and global positioning systems.During a magnetic substorm on Earth, particles located tens of thousands kilometres on the nightside are energised and hurled earthward within a few minutes.This creates colourful aurorae and excites the near-Earth.....
