Vijayawada, Apr 23: The CPI Andhra Pradesh secretary K Narayana has indicated that Telugu filmstar Chiranjeevi would float a new political party after the May 29 by-elections in the state.
Dr Narayana during his visit to the city yesterday, told private satellite channels that Dr Mitra, a close associate of Chiranjeevi had told him during a telephonic conversation. Asserting that formation of a new 'political front' was necessary in the current political scenario, he said if the policies of Chiranjeevi's new party matched the policies of CPI, then the party would consider to have an alliance with it. However, Chiranjeevi had not yet decided on the date for launching his party, the CPI leader said.
