Gulbarga, Apr 22 (UNI) In a bizzare incident a young boy died while his loving companion battling for life after consuming poison dejected over refusal of their parents to marry each other in Jewargi town in the district today.
The police sources informed that Rajeshwari (18) a tenth year student girl was fell with love with Yellappa (20) who was a final year student of a college entered into a suicide pact following failure to get their parents consent to marry each other.
Both Yellappa and his parmour Rajeshwari came to Gulbarga last evening and allegedly consumed poison near Railway track. While girl was rescued and sent to hospital for treatment the ill-fated boy was declared dead due to the consumption of poison.
The potential couples belonging to two different castes in their suicide note however have requested their parents to bury them closely.
The rescued girl who was admitted to government general hospital was reportedly in serious condition and battling for life, the sources said.
