Theft in MP's house in Delhi, valuables stolen

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) A Member of Parliament today claimed that burglars had broken into her house here while she was away in Tamil Nadu.

M S K Bhavani Rajenthiran of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) told the Lok Sabha during a discussion on Demands for Grants for Defence that the burglars had broken into her house here and decamped with some valuables.

''I had gone to my home town in Tamil Nadu. On my return yesterday, I came in for a rude shock. I found burglars had broken in and some valuables had been stolen,'' she said.

''If this is the level of security for a Member of Parliament, I can imagine the condition of the common people,'' said Ms Rajenthiran who represents Ramanthapuram constituency in Tamil Nadu.
