Pinjore Garden to be avaliable for weddings

Chandigarh, Apr 22 (UNI) The famous Pinjore Garden of the Mughal Era would now be avaliable for wedding functions.

This was revealed by Commissioner and Secretary, Tourism, Mrs Keshni Anand Arora while addressing the newly appointed Assistant Public Relations Officers here today.

She pointed out that Pinjore Garden was an attractive tourist place like the royal palaces of Rajasthan as it had been planned artistically and appeared similar to Shalimar Bagh of Kashmir. The availability of the garden for wedding functions would attract foreign tourists and NRIs.

"The necessary facilities can be provided for a royal wedding in the Garden", she added hoping that this endeavour would further enhance the popularity of Pinjore Garden and bring it on the global toursit map.

She said that Shahi Palace, Raj Palace and Rambagh Palace of Rajasthan were becoming the centres of attraction for royal weddings and there was no reason why such functions cannot be held at the Pinjore Garden.
