One militant arrested, hideout busted after encounter in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 22 (UNI) One militant was killed while a hideout was busted after an encounter in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said the encounter took place between militants and security forces at Dever Margi in Lolab this morning during a search operation.

However, militants managed to escape, later security forces recovered some arms and ammunition and rice and sugar from the hideout, official sources added.

Security forces arrested a militant at Parnew in the central Kashmir district of Badgam alongwith one AK rifle, three magiznes and 110 rounds of ammunition.

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister(FM) K Rosaiah today lauded the Planning Commission(PC) for approving Rs 44,000 crore annual plan for the State for 2008-09. Talking to newspersons here, he said the PC had approved the plan-size, based on the performance of the government. Normally, the PC, after verifying the plan-size, would reduce the amount, but in Andhra Pradesh's case, the Commission had rounded it off to Rs 44,000 crore against Rs 43,191.....
