MRF tyre ranked highest in customer satisfaction

Chennai, Apr 22 (UNI) MRF, a leading tyre manufacturer, has been ranked highest in customer satisfaction with original equipment tyres in India, according to the J D Power Asia Pacific 2008 Customer Satisfaction Index study.

MRF, ranked highest for the third consecutive year and the sixth time during the last eight years in the J D Power study in India, has scored 836 out of 1,000, a company release said here today.

The study analyses new vehicle buyer's satisfaction with their original equipment tyres by examining five key factors.

The 2008 J D Power Original Equipment Tyre Customer Satisfaction Index study surveyed 3,381 new vehicle owners.

Earlier in the year, MRF Ltd had also won the NDTV/Car India Green Award, 2008 and the Overdrive Automotive Product of the year award, 2008, for its eco-friendly car radials.

Fire breaks, houses reduced to ash

Kohima, Apr 12: Atleast four houses were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in Chumukedima block.According to official sources here today kitchen of a house caught fire which later spread to the entire area. Many thatched houses were also demolished in the area last evening. However, no casualty was reported.Three fire tenders swung into action immediately and contained the fire. It took about three hours to douse the fire completely.Fire brigade officials said that the investigation was on.UNI .....
