Indian squad all set for Olympic Qualifying Asian Judo

Patiala, Apr 22 (UNI) A 12-member men and women Judo squad is all set to represent India at the Olympic Qualifying Asian Judo Championship in Jeju, Korea, slated for April 24 to 28.

Earlier, an intensive coaching camp was held in Sonepat (Haryana) from March 4 to April 20 to train the Judokas for the Championship in Korea.

The team comprises: Men: Navjot Chana (60 kg), Ram Asrey (73 kg), Virendra Singh (81 kg), Anil (90 kg), Yashpal (100 kg) and Pawan (+100 kg).

Women: Tombi Devi (48 kg), Anita Chanu (52 kg), Nirupma (57 kg), Garima Chowdhary (63 kg), Jina Devi (70 kg) and Bittu (78 kg).

Coaches: J G Sharma, Narendra Singh, Satish Sharma and M N Triveni.
