Deccan Chargers set modest target for Delhi Dare Devils

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Hosts Deccan Chargers set a modest 141-run target for Delhi Dare Devils in their second league outing of the DLF Indian Premier League at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here tonight.

Electing to bat, Deccan Chargers disappointed the home crowd as Delhi Dare Devil's Mohammed Asif got an early breakthrough dismissing cheaply Adam Gilchrist(8) and Skipper V V S Laxman(2).

Twenty-year-old Sharma who has been part of the World Cup winning side last year brought some respectablity to the hosts total which was otherwise lacklustre.

Digging lone forrow for Deccan Chargers, he scored a magnificient 66 runs, which included four sixers and six boundaries.

New Delhi, Dec 15: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will either reply or intervene in the discussion on the Indo-US civilian nuclear cooperation deal to be held in the Lok Sabha on Monday and in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.Most probably, the Prime Minister would intervene and not reply to the discussion, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs P R Dasmunsi said here today, adding he would inform the Press about the actual position after Prime Minister's return from Japan tomorrow.He.....

Rajkot police take custody of Karan Jadeja

Rajkot, Aug 13: Karan Jadeja, the son of 'Godmother' Santokben Jadeja, the prime accused in the murder of Rekha Jadeja (32), daughter-in-law of Santokben Jadeja, was brought here today from Mumbai on transfer warrants.A team led by Police Inspector V V Gohil took possession of the accused from Mumbai police on Friday and brought him here today by road, Mr Gohil said.The accused will be produced before the local court here tomorrow and police will seek his remand.....
