Bitta demands setting up of Anti Terrorist Military Court

Patna, Apr 22 (UNI) Chairman of All India Anti Terrorist Front(AIATF) M.S.Bitta today demanded setting up of an Anti Terrorist Military Court(ATMC) to curb terrorism.

He also asked the government to get a law passed against the menace which had plagued the nation for decades.

Mr Bitta told newspersons here that the special ATMC should be entrusted with hearing cases related to terrorism.

He held lack of political will responsible for the problem and suggested the Centre adopt a 'firm' stand. He lauded the policies of late Indira Gandhi, P.V.Narasimha Rao and Rajiv Gandhi against the terrorists saying that a smiliar policy should be adopted now.

He demanded execution of death penalty awarded by the Supreme Court to Afzal Guru, the mastermind of the terror attack on Parliament.

He also asked the Centre to take additional security all along India's borders. Rajasthan, adjoining Pakistan, was 'vulnerable' as RDX was being smuggled in, he added.

Mr Bitta raised doubts over the intentions of the new dispensation in Pakistan as, he said, it was not interested in curbing terrorism. He said the Pakistan government should immediately remove terror camps from the POK. He also sought deportation of Dawood Ibrahim and Masood Azhar.
