AP FM lauds PC on annual plan sanction for State

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister(FM) K Rosaiah today lauded the Planning Commission(PC) for approving Rs 44,000 crore annual plan for the State for 2008-09.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the PC had approved the plan-size, based on the performance of the government. Normally, the PC, after verifying the plan-size, would reduce the amount, but in Andhra Pradesh's case, the Commission had rounded it off to Rs 44,000 crore against Rs 43,191 crore plan submitted by the Government.

Mr Rosaiah said the PC Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia had hailed the performance of the Government, stating that the plan expenditure of the State was the best in the country.
