Second round of Shimla motorcycle challenge gets underway tomorrow

Shimla, Apr 19 (UNI) The second round of the Shimla Motorcycle Challenge gets underway tomorrow with 35 motorcyclists from north India taking part in the event.

While Rajan Sidhu from Ludhiana would be seeking to defend his overall lead, earned in the first round, Chandigarh's Yogesh Lakhani and local motorcyclist Piyush Chuahan would go all out to win this leg and overall prize.

The event, a rally sprint over a seven km long track, near Shogi here would test the motorcyclists skills on both uphill and downhill stages, besides on gravel and tarmac.

State Horticulture Minister Narinder Bragta would be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony, which would he held in the evening.

The Shimla Motorcycle Challenge is being organised by Team Avalanche and is supported by Himachal Pradesh Tourism and Department of Youth and Sports Services and Pepsi.

Creamy layer concept confusing, says Karunanidhi

Riyadh, Apr 19 : External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday reached here to boost investments in trade, infrastructure and oil sector between India and Saudi Arabia. Mandi board to fine agencies failing to lift wheat

Moga, Apr 19 (UNI) Punjab Mandi Board today decided to put a fine of 25 paisa per bag per day, if any agency failed to lift the procured wheat after 72 hours. The Punjab Mandi Board Chairman, Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, after touring various mandi purchase centers and yards, has directed all the Market Committee district mandi officers to give show cause notices to all the procurement agencies which could not lift the procured wheat even after.....
