Two militants eliminated in Kupwara

Srinagar, April 19 : In a joint operation, the Police and Army eliminated two militants in Warnow in Kupwara District on Saturday.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, police received information regarding the presence of militants at Warnow and immediately launched an operation with the help of personnel of the 18 Army.

As the law enforcement personnel zeroed in on the target, the militants opened indiscriminate fire. Two unidentified militants were gunned down during the encounter.

A search of the area is currently in progress.
