BJP's Goel meets Home minister over Delhi's law and order

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party's newly-appointed national general secretary Vijay Goel today met Union Home minister Shivraj Patil over the ''deteriorating'' law and order situation in the national capital.

''The incidents of rape, dacoities, chain snatching are on the rise in Delhi...people especially the senior citizens, to do feel safe,'' Mr Goel told the Home Minister.

The BJP leader also demanded an all-party meeting on the issue and asked Mr Patil to review the police functioning.

''He assured me to take appropriate steps to deal with the situation,'' Mr Goel claimed after the meeting.

Afghanistan arrests 68 Pakistani nationals

Kabul, Apr 19 : Security forces in Afghanistan arrested 68 Pakistani men immediately after they crossed the Afghan-Pakistan border over suspected links with the Taliban, the defence ministry said on Saturday. The ministry acted on a intelligence tip off that a group of Pakistanis having links with the Taliban was entering the country. "The army ... detained yesterday 68 unarmed Pakistani nationals.
