Wife urges Di's butler Burrell to return to the UK to 'face the flak'

London, Apr 16 : Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell is being urged by his wife to return to the UK.

Burrell has refused to come home following revelations he was filmed bragging that he'd told lies during his appearance at Princess Diana's inquest.

The 49-year-old is currently under investigation by the police and still there are chances that he could face perjury charges.

Family insiders say Maria, who spends more time in their home in Farndon, Cheshire, has told Burrell he should return to Britain and face the music.

"Maria doesn't think it's good Paul should spend his life hidden away in America, and thinks it would be better if he came home sooner rather than later and faced the flak," The Daily Express quoted a family source, as saying.

"At the end of the day she understands the law will have its way one way or another, even if Paul does try to bury his head in the sand. Paul dreads the idea of coming back to the UK as he knows he'll get a hostile reception but Maria is the one person capable of persuading him to change his mind," the source added.
