President appoints Additional Judges of Bombay High Court



New Delhi, Apr 16 : President Pratibha Patil has appointed Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court.

The eight Judges are Ashok Pitamber Bhangale, Anand Vasant Nirgude, Rajiv Yadunath Ganoo, Nandkishor Digambar Deshpande, Rekha Prakash SondurBaldota, Kailaschand Uttamchand Chandiwal, Santosh Champalal Bora and Ashutosh Arvind Kumbhakoni.

They are appointed for a period of two years with effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.

The President also appointed Meenakshi Sundaram Sathyanarayanan as an Additional Judge for Madras High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

Besides, President Patil also appointed Mavulli Cholakkode Hari Rani as an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office.

After consultation with Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, President Patil transferred Judge of the Gauhati High Court, Justice Ram Bhawan Misra as Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

Justice Ram Bhawan Misra was directed to assume charge of the office of the Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court on or before April 30.

The President also transferred Justice Pradeepkumar Bhadrayulal Majmudar, Judge of the Rajasthan High Court as Judge of the Bombay High Court. He was directed to assume charge of the office of the judge of the Bombay High Court on or before April 30.
