Kerala decides to hike Freedom fighters pension

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 16 (UNI) The Kerala Government today decided to hike the pension of Freedom fighters from the present Rs 3,900 to Rs 6,400.

Talking to newspersons here, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the Rs 2,500 hike would come to effect from April one this year.

Mumbai: Arun Gawli to appear in court March 12

Mumbai, Mar 11: The don-turned-politician Arun Gawli is likely to appear before the court tomorrow to hear on cancellation of his bail plea filed by Economic Offences Wing (EOW) department of the city police for his alleged involvement in a misappropriation case. Earlier, Additional Sessions Judge P D Vishwasrao had directed Gawli to appear before the court on March 12 for hearing on the petition.The EOW arrested Gawli a few months ago for allegedly misappropriating funds of the employees union affiliated.....
