Gulbarga records highest temperature of 40.3 deg. Celsius

Bangalore, Apr 16 (UNI) Following is a summary observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Dharmasthala, Humchadakatte, Koppa, N R Pura 2 each; Karkala, Kiravatti, Kalghatgi, Jayapura, Sringeri 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and remained normal over interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.3 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Farmers weather bulletin: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Maximum temperature likely to be around 35 degree Celsius.

May calls for inclusion of IPL in international calendar
