Global English launches English course for global managers

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Global English Corporation, a business English communication provider, has launched ''Corporate Learning Service'' that provides executives and professionals cost-effective communication skills in English.

According to the Company's research, 91 per cent of employees from global companies consider English critical for their jobs, and only nine per cent believe they have adequate skill and knowledge in the language. The course will provide English skills in context of relevant business situations and respective cultural contexts, a release announced today.

''Although English is looked upon as a common skill among people in technology and business sectors, it is not always a fact. Outside the major cities, fewer people speak English as a second language, or speak it well,'' Global English Corporation CEO Deepak Desai said.

According to a study conducted by the McKinsey Global Institute, only 13 per cent of university graduates from low-wage countries are suitable for employment in multi-national companies with lack of English skills being the main reason for rejection, the release added.
