Cabinet gives nod to extend validity of GSURRS

Panaji, Apr 16 (UNI) Goa Cabinet today gave the nod to extend the validity of the Goa Sick Unit Revival and Rehabilitation Scheme (GSURRS).

Chief Minister Digamber Kamat told reporters after the cabinet meeting that the validity will remain in force for five years from 2008.

The demand for extension of validity of the scheme, which will benefit various sick units, was made by Goa Chamber of Commerce.

Mr Kamat said the scheme was earlier approved in 2003 but could not be implemented.
