Ahmedabad, Apr 14: Two people, including a-year-old girl, died and eleven others were injured today after a Rajasthan State Transport (RST) bus fell into the Khari river, adjoining the Jodhpur-Ahmedabad highway near Mehsana town, about 70 km from here.
The incident occurred in the wee hours when the bus driver was trying to overtake a truck on the river bridge and lost control of the steering wheel.
The deceased were identified as Sohrabkhan Ibrahimkhan, who was driving the bus, and a girl child Efrah.
The injured have been admitted to the Civil Hospital at Mehsana.
The ill-fated bus was from Jodhpur Depot and was on its way to Ahmedabad, police sources said.
