Puducherry, Apr 14 (UNI) Floral tributes were paid to B R Ambedkar on his 117th birth anniversary here today.
Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, his cabinet colleagues, Speaker R Radhakrishnan, legislators and senior officials of the territorial administration, were among others, who garlanded Dr Ambedkar's statue at Bharathi Park in front of the assembly premises.
Several political parties, including Congress, DMK, AIADMK, CPI and Puducherry Munnetra Congress(PMC), garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
Representatives of several Dalit organisations also garlanded the statue on the occasion.
