Ganguly back among top 20 batsmen

Dubai, Apr 14 (UNI) Sourav Ganguly has returned to the top 20 of the ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen after his man-of-the-match performance in the Kanpur Test which helped India beat South Africa by eight wickets and draw the three-match series 1-1.

Ganguly scored 87 and 13 not out in a low-scoring match, which helped him gain seven places on the ladder. He now sits in 17th place and is one of five India batsmen to figures in the top 20.

No other Indian batsman, however, appears among the top ten.

Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman are the other Indian batsmen to in the top 20.

Tendulkar, who missed the last two Tests through injury, has dropped one place to 13th position while Dravid lies in 14th place, gaining one spot.

Sehwag, who became India's top ranked batsman at the 12th position after hitting a swashbuckling 319 in the Chennai Test, dropped two places and is now ranked 15th while Laxman, who scored 50 in Kanpur, clings on to the 19th spot.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who captained India in Kanpur, has climbed four places and is now ranked 39th.

Murderer enrages victim's family setting up Facebook page from inside jail

London, January 19 (ANI): The family of a murder victim has been enraged by the running of a Facebook page by his killer from inside jail.Andrew McVicar, 25, was sentenced to life imprisonment for ramming a broken bottle in 19-year-old Tony Harrington's jugular vein.The murderer reportedly set up a page on the website from his cell at Ford Open Prison in West Sussex.He is even believed to have used a illegally-held mobile phone to post pictures.....
