Chhattisgarh re-introduces DC system

Raipur, Apr 14 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government has posted four Indian Administrative Service officers as divisional commissioners (DC), re-introducing the system after a gap of about five years.

Secretary and Commr (Labour) B L Agrawal was made Raipur's DC while Bastar's Collector Ganesh Shankar Mishra was promoted and posted as Bastar's DC.

Registrar (Cooperatives) Shiv Kumar Tiwari became Bilaspur's DC while Director (Tribal Welfare) Manoj Kumar Pingua was made Sarguja's DC.

After the state came into existence in November 2000, the then Congress government headed by Mr Ajit Jogi abolished posts of DCs arguing that those had no relevance in a small state.

Kashmir to create more posts for trained unemployed doctors

Jammu, June 30 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Government will create new posts to ensure jobs for trained unemployed doctors in the State.Speaking after inaugurating two hostel buildings at a cost of Rs 5.80 crores in Indira Gandhi Dental college in Jammu on Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that more posts of dental surgeons, medical officers in Indian System of Medicines.....
