Winnability and image to be criteria for BJP tickets: Om Mathur

Sirohi, Apr 12 (UNI) Rajasthan BJP President and sitting MP Om Prakash Mathur today said public image and ''winnability'' would be the criteria for allotment of the party tickets for the Assembly elections later this year.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Mathur said young people, women and deserving candidates would be given due weightage in allotment of the tickets.

He said the BJP was conducting an assesssment of the impact of achievements of the state government as well as lapses and shortcomings at the party's organisational level. Political equations and image of sitting BJP MLAs in their constituencies were also under consideration, he added.

Deveopment would be the BJP's poll plank, Mr Mathur said.
