Three students drown

Pudukkottai, Apr 12 (UNI) Three students drowned in a temple tank at Narthamalai near here yesterday.

Police said the deceased were identified as Jerald Thomson (16), Arunkumar (16) and Arun (16). They were studying at a private school here.

Jeralad Thomson, who went to the tank to wash his hands, accidentally fell into the tank. The other two also drowned while trying to rescue their friend.

Police had fished out the bodies and sent for post-mortem.
