Robbers attack woman, minor in daylight robbery in Capital

New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) After Noida's night of terror, it was Delhi's turn today, when three robbers attacked a woman and her daughter in the Adarsh Nagar area in Northwest Delhi.

According to police, Dharmender and his three accomplices, including a rickshaw puller, entered the home of Monica Sharma in the afternoon. While her 13-year-old daughter Urvashi was at home, her husband Raj Kumar, who runs a mattress shop nearby, and their teenage son were away.

Police said the rickshaw-puller used to work for Raj Kumar five months ago and stayed with the family. The men, after gaining a friendly entry, started ransacking the house. They allegedly attacked Monica with a blunt object when they resisted and raised an alarm.

Some neighbours managed to overpower Dharmender, but the other three managed to escape.
