Pranab on Indians killing in Afghan: We won't succumb to Taliban

Baharampore, Apr 12 : The day on which three Indian engineers were killed in Afghanistan, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that India would never succumb to the threats being posed by the Taliban in that country.

"Despite the Taliban attack, India will remain firm on its stand and not succumb to the pressures of the militia," Mukherjee told reporters here.

"We will take necessary measures to safeguard Indians working in Afghanistan," he added.

Three engineers of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were killed and six others injured when a suicide bomber blew up in the remote southwestern Afghan province of Nimroz.

No one has claimed responsibility so far. However, the Taliban is said to be behind the attack.
