Mercury continues upward march in Capital

New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) The mercury in and around the National Capital continued its upward march today with temperature recorded at 36.3 degrees Celsius.

The Weatherman suggested that the rise in the mercury would continue unabaited.

Clouds early today and a slight drizzle failed to check the upward swing of the temperature. Tomorrow will be as hot, the met office said, adding that clouds might bring some respite later in the day.

The day's minimum temprature was 22.7 degrees Celsius.

Most parts of the northern plains had temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius.
