Jeweller looted of 2 kg gold worth Rs 30 lakh

Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) A jeweller was looted of 2 kgs gold worth around Rs 30 lakh in broad daylight at Malad near here today.

The jeweller, Manish Kumar Bafna (29), was walking with a companion on the S V Road when four people assaulted them with choppers and knives and after injuring them, decamped with the gold, the duo were carrying.

Bafna has a jewellery shop named ''Aaram Jewellers'' in South Mumbai's Zaveri Bazar -- hub of the jewellery business.

The duo have been admitted to a local hospital and were undergoing treatment. The police is on the lookout for the culprits.
