Kolkata, Apr 12 (UNI) Summer time in the city seemed to have undergone a sea change with a combination of intense heat and drier weather condition.
The Alipore Met office personnel said the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 38.5 degree Celsius and the minimum humidity level was at 38 per cent.
While the Met officials at Alipore predicted that the maximum temperature will remain at 38 degree Celsius with no possibility of rainfall in the next 24 hours, they also said the maximum temperature had increased by three degrees.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 26.2 degree Celsius, one degree above normal.
The Met officials predicted clear sky during the night with no change in the maximum temperature.
